What is Ozone?
Ozone has a strong oxidizing property and is recognized by the world as a broad-spectrum high-efficiency bactericide. Its oxidizing power is higher than that of chlorine. It sterilizes in water 600-3000 times faster than chlorine, and can even kill bacteria within a few seconds. For common Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, mold, etc., the killing rate can reach more than 99% in an environment where the ozone concentration is maintained at 0.3PPM for 5 minutes. Its sterilization and disinfection effects occur almost instantaneously. When the ozone concentration in the water reaches 0.3-2ppm, the bacteria can be killed within 0.5-1min. To achieve the same sterilization effect (such as the killing rate of Escherichia coli 99%), the dosage of ozone water medicine is only 0.0048% of chlorine.
Decomposition time:
1. Ozone is easily soluble in water, and the ozone dissolved in water has stronger sterilization and disinfection ability, which can reach 3000 times that of chlorine. Ozone is easily decomposed into oxygen.
2. The half-life of ozone in water is about 20 minutes, and the half-life of ozone in air at room temperature and pressure is about 10-30 minutes. Ozone is finally reduced to oxygen.
3. Ozone is a safe, non-residual oxidant, disinfectant, and will not cause secondary pollution. Ozone will quickly be reduced to oxygen by the reaction itself, so there is no need to worry about chemical residues, nor will it pose a threat to the living environment.
